112 Exhibitors from 24 Countries at the 11th BERLINER LISTE
Fair for Contemporary Art at the Postbahnhof | New Editions Section

With 112 galleries, project groups and artists, the BERLINER LISTE will once again be the largest of the Berlin art fairs. It will be held from September 18 to 21 as part of the Berlin Art Week, opening at 6 pm on September 17. The former postal railway station, the Postbahnhof am Ostbahnhof will host the exhibition for the first time. The light flooded halls, urban ambience and unique location directly on the Spree river create the optimal space for the presentation of contemporary artwork. Curator Dr Peter Funken has whittled down over 300 applications to a selection of galleries and artists with high artistic aspirations and prices ranging from just 750 to 7500 euro.

“The Berliner Liste 2014 represents art that makes topical the beautiful, disturbing and dangerous aspects of our time. In the current, expressive languages of the contemporary world, the immensely attractive one-time Postbahnhof near the River Spree and East Side Gallery provides a metropolitan, historic environment. A performance festival will lend the fair further impulse and dynamic. This year’s Berliner Liste is an extraordinary place for anyone who dares themselves to discover and buy new art at affordable prices.”

The new Editions Section will present limited edition art including books, photography and small-format paper artworks starting at 50 euro. The BERLINER LISTE endeavours to attract lovers of art with just a small budget, too.

Exhibitors include galleries like Ruth Sachse | Kunst der Gegenwart, Apteka Sztuki (Warsaw), SMART SHIP GALLERY (Tokyo), GALERIE ZDERZAK (Krakow), alma (Trikala, Greece), Osnova Gallery (Moscow), Galerie Verein Berliner Künstler (Berlin), INTOXICATED DEMONS (Berlin), STUDIO 73 (Arad, Romania), CC&A Gallery (Hamburg) as well as project group Haute Presents and artists such as Niki Feijen (Heerlen, Holland), Freddy Fioravanti (Berlin), Peer Kriesel (Berlin), Christina Pleyer (Esslingen), Patricia Zenklusen (Zurich), Jeanet Hönig (Schaffhausen) and Tim Waltinger (Berlin).
