Brussels Design Market was founded 10 years ago by Robert Nahum, Bjorn Quevy and Thierry Belenger. Initially it was a flea market devoted exclusively to productions of the 50s until the early 80. Today, the Brussels Design Market is definitely one of the best events in Europe dedicated to design vintage of the 20th century. Twice a year, in April and September, the Maritime Station of Tour & Taxis in Brussels welcomes 100 exhibitors and over 7,000 visitors. Thanks to the quality of the products and to the loyalty of its audience, the Brussels Design Market is now considered the largest design vintage market in Europe.
The Brussels Design Market, with a focus on 20th century design, lasts 2 days. There is a preview on Saturday afternoon, mostly for dealers, collectors and amateurs. On Sunday, the general public day, more affordable furniture and objects are also unpacked. At Brussels Design Market, visitors can discover Scandinavian, Belgian, French, Italian, American furnitures as well as ceramic and glass objects, collectors, accessories made of metal, wood or Bakelite.
