Comentarios: Huntington painted directly from nature following boyhood summers on the Maine Coast. He was born in George Bellows's hometown and was deeply influenced by the artist's paintings at Columbus Art Gallery, especially those of Monhegan Island, ME. He painted at Monhegan, 1962-71 and Matinicus, 1973-74. He was the first curator of the Colby College Museum of Art.
