Comentarios: He was among the original settlers of Castroville (TX) in 1844, but moved to San Antonio in 1846. He revisited France in 1849, married there, and returned to San Antonio, where he made his home until his death. He taught art at St. Mary's College and is remembered for his genre paintings of early life in Texas. Also known as Theodore Gentilz.
