Comentarios: Apprenticed at an early age to the Boston engraver, Samuel Hill (see entry), a relative, Harris published his first portrait in 1806. He showed great talent for languages and entered Harvard College as a junior in 1808, but drowned in the Charles River on July 10, 1810, while he was still a student.
