Comentarios: He was the posthumous son of the Mormon leader Joseph Smith. As early as 1853 he made some drawings of the ruins of Nauvoo which have been preserved and reproduced, and in 1863 he painted an idealized picture of the same subject. He later became a leader of the Reorganized Church in Utah and a well-known hymn writer.
