Comentarios: Came to U.S. in 1847. He worked in Albany under Erastus Dow Palmer for nine years. In 1857, he moved to NYC where he became a successful sculptor, producing portraits and ideal figures. In 1867 he spent several months in Rome; he returned to Italy in 1875 for a six-year stay.
