Comentarios: Baron von Ridelstein abandoned a career in the Austrian military to study art in Munich. He and his wife Maria von Ridelstein (see entry) together studied for two years in Paris and left for the Orient in 1913. During WWI he was captured by the Japanese and spent years in a Japanese concentration camp. After spending several years in Chile, they settled in San Francisco. Position: teacher, Fashion Art School, Scottish Rite Temple; Calif. College of Arts & Crafts (briefly).
