Comentarios: After visiting studios in Spain, he set up his own at his father's store in New Orleans, 1870. His pen and ink drawings were used in the NYC Daily Graphic, including the procession and tableau of the comus carnival organization. In 1874 he became a staff member of the Daily Graphic. He moved to NYC and distinguished himself as a newspaper artist and cartoonist.
