Comentarios: A descendant of John Alden. Specialty: animals. He had a studio in Broadway, NYC and worked for Saint-Gaudens. He invented an electric device for cutting marble and eventually devoted himself to inventing until 1908 when he moved to New Bedford and once again pursued art for a living. He made papier-m‚chÈ sculpture for stage scenery and dept. store windows and other places. Indian figures were his specialty. In addition he executed statues of leaders in New Bedford. He left there in 1917 for an unknown reason.
