1908 – 1934:As president of the annual Salon des Independants, Signac encouraged younger artists by exhibiting the controversial works of the Fauves and the Cubists.

1899:Worked with Georges SEURAT in creating pointillism (or divisionism). Signac published “From Delacroix to Neo-Impressionism”, explaining their theories.
1892:He married Berthe ROBLES, a relative of Camille PISSARRO.
1884:He met Georges SEURAT.
