Comentarios: Abstract Expressionist whose gestural brush style of the late 1940s and early 1950s showed DeKooning's influence (Tworkov opened a studio next to DeKooning in 1948). Tworkov soon evolved his own style in the 1950s, using bold colors and imposing a more gridlike structure on his work. By 1960 these horizontal and vertical elements had grown, dominating the canvas.
