Work and Life

Paweł Kowalewski is a founder of the legendary art formation “Gruppa” and an icon of the Polish art of the 80s. His works from that period are an important commentary to the times of communism in Poland. He is also the author of the famous works such as “Mon Cheri Bolscheviq” , the installation “Totalitarianism Simulator” and the photographic series “FORBIDDEN / Europeans Only”. Kowalewski’s works can be found in the largest Polish museums, as well as in many national and international private collections.
