Comentarios: Best known for her gouaches of the wharves, quaint streets, and beach scenes of the Cape Ann, MA, region and for her pictorialist photographs. She was most active as a painter between 1924-35. She painted in France, Holand, Italy, and Switzerland on three trips, 1926-29. By 1933, she was exhibiting both pictorialist photographs and paintings, and cruised the Mediterranean, visiting Cairo. In 1937 and 1938 she traveled to Central and South America. She was also an accomplished miniaturist and illustrator of children's books. Her works appeared in national magazines such as Country Life and House Beautiful. By the mid 1940s, she was absorbed by photography, an interest since age 12. In later years she spent less time in Georgetown and settled permanently in Gloucester in 1960.
