Comentarios: Best known for his dog subjects, particularly the scotties for the Black & White Whiskey advertisements. He was author/illustrator of Pup Himself, 1943; Burlap, 1945; Morgan Dennis Dog Book, 1946; Skit and Skat," 1951; Pure Breds, 1953; ,I>Himself and Burlap on TV, 1954; The Sea Dog," 1958; and illustrator of Pete; Cat Who Went to College; Every Dog Has His Say; The Little Fox; Rags the Firehouse Dog; The Dog Next Door; Yipe; The Dog Who Could Swim Under Water, and others in national magazines. He lectured on The Art of Etching; and Our Dogs of War. For many years he had a studio in NYC and summered in Falmouth, MA. He later moved to Key West and lived aboard a houseboat, "The Sea Dog." His early works from Provincetown were sold as he created them, so there is no single large collection. Also appears as Burt Morgan Dennis.
