Comentarios: During the 1920s-30s, he documented the American Indian, the Harlem Renaissance, and the working class. In 1939, he produced the nation"s largest mural for the WFNY, and he was well-known for his Art Deco designs for Longchamps and Crillon in France. He ran art schools in NYC, Woodstcok, and Glacier Nat. Park. His illustrations appeared in many national magazines as well as his book, Blackfeet Indians (1935). Lectures: color; mural painting.
