Comentarios: Johnston blends modernism and ancient art forms from Persia, China, and India. She has created in a variety of media, including painting (on canvas and silk), etching, decorated ceramics, and sculpture (in which she constructs mythic beasts from flat wooden pieces cut into abstract shapes and painted).
