A modern European megacity Moscow is also an ancient city located at the crossroads between East and West, Northern Europe and Central Asia. For several hundred years Moscow has been a melting pot of many cultural traditions - here art treasures and artifacts of museum level have been accumulating and passing from one art collection to another.

The Russian Antique Salon was launched more than twenty years ago and during these years it has become an authoritative and important event in the world of antiquarian trade.

The Salon takes place twice a year: in spring and fall, at the Central House of Artists’ Exhibition Hall. We share the building with the Tretyakov Art Gallery and are located just one kilometer away from the Kremlin.

Nearly 300 antiques galleries and private collections exhibit at the salon. They come from Moscow, St Petersburg, and other cities of Russia, and also from Great Britain, Germany, Italy, USA, France, Sweden, Switzerland, and other countries. Many of them are members of the CINOA (The International Federation of Dealer Associations.)

The Russian Antique Salon is a place of remarkable discoveries. It is known for its high-quality expert assessment. Numerous true masterpieces of world art, dating back to the Middle Ages through the early 20th century, are displayed at the stands. The Salon’s exhibitors also have on display jewelry and antique furniture, various items of decorative and applied arts, unique china, old icons, objects of Chinese and Japanese arts, bibliographic and numismatic rarities, textiles, and other unique and various works of art and design.

On the evening prior to the official opening of the Russian Antique Salon we’ll hold a VIP Preview for special guests. The general number of visitors in the nine days of the Salon exceeds 25,000.
