Rare Orientalist Pastel on canvas applied (unglued) on cardboard on a wood frame. He became known at the age of 22, after studying at the Brussels Academy, by the social realism of his painting. He left Belgium for Paris where he attended personalities like Rodin, Toulouse-Lautrec, Van Gogh, Paul Signac or Debussy. His painting is linked to the Symbolist movement.
