Oil on mahogany wood signed AL & dated (18)85 - Provenance : Private  collection of the Loire valley – Private Bordeaux collection. Legros' landscapes show the influence of the Realist movement of Gustave Courbet
 (1819-77). This is an instance of Legros late period of landscape paintings, a dominant thematic reminiscent of the French countryside.
