Circa 1968. After “25 Marilyns 1962” Screen acrylic paint & ink/canvas of the Moderna Museet Stockholm. Offset lithographic card signed on the right side with a black felt pen. Printed for & signed at the vernissage of the Warhol Moderna Museet Exhibition in Stockholm 10-2 to 17-3-1968. Catalogued reproduced in a French public auction. "50 Marilyns Dyptic is the Third most influential work of modern art" (Survey towards 500 artists, critics & others by 'The Guardian' in a 2-12-2004 article). It is important to remind that The Marilyn Monroe screen print portfolio each 91x91cm was only completed in 1967, a few years after the actress passed away in 1962. The portfolio of 10 screen prints was one of the first prints Warhol printed and Distributed through Factory Additions, New York. The name of this company references to Warhol’s studio known as “The Factory”.
