THIS IS NOT A PIGMENTPRINT BUT A REAL PHOTOGRAPHY ON PHOTOSENSITIVE CANVAS!
this unique piece by joseph beuys was made using a photography by lothar wolleh showing beuys in his exhibition at the moderna museet in stockholm. this image was developed on photosensitive canvas and shows the thankful dedication to the photographer.
this series of wolleh's photographies were meant to become the beuys-sculpture "unterwasserbuch" to be printed on pvc.
this went wrong because the pvc sheets were cut to short so there was no margin to bind them to a book.
after these pvc sheets became beuys's multiple "9 tonnen edition", edited by klaus staeck.
