Brooke Lydecker, crafted her art while studying and working in Arizona, California, Europe and South Africa. She holds a degree in Photographic Arts and Sciences from The Brooks Institute of Photography, Santa Barbara, California. She has frequently exhibited and also presented by us at Paris Photo, Paris, France in 2002 and 2003 already.

Artist Statement:

“My first and still ongoing series ‘Myths and Tales’ is inspired by my own life and dreams. Every image is thought out in detail and carefully staged to capture my inspiration.
Diffused perspectives, achieved by using pinhole photography transferred on Polaroid, create an almost transcendent expression – like notations of memories, which come and go. The colors and light in this series are reminiscent of Paintings of the Golden Age (Dutch).
