In his couture series, Peter Hoffer explores the theater of fashion through a reinterpreted runway. In this mixed media painting, a realistically rendered model for the French fashion house Azzaro is juxtaposed with suggestive collage. The work is housed in a plexiglass box.

Hoffer's paintings can evoke nostalgia for romantic forms and periods. In his new work, he explores fashion and still life using trompe l'oeil imagery and vintage collage. These works are housed in plexiglass boxes. Hoffer has exhibited widely at art fairs in Basel, Toronto, New York, Stockholm, London, Milan, Amsterdam and Hong Kong. His paintings are held in many private, corporate and public collections including the Musée des Beaux Arts, the Musée du Quèbec and the Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery.
