Fernando Costa is a French sculptor/welder born on December 29, 1970 in Sarlat (Dordogne, France). He works exclusively with road signs that he cuts and weld to create colorful compositions.

Costa's welded panels usually tell stories, with humor, at the crossing of several artistic movements: New Realism, Pop Art and Street Art. Sometimes figurative, sometimes abstract, his works challenge the viewer through their construction and through the place that he chooses to give to each color. Costa gives a new life to these urban materials who are both inseparable from our daily lives and part of an universal language. His artworks reflect his personnality: raw but also full of subtleties.
