From a Swedish collection. His Art is spontaneous, a joie de vivre and vital energy. Cobra School saw abstract art too academic & rigid, preferring a spontaneous nearly wild art, like children's drawings, popular art and primitivist aesthetics. Here a creature is visible on upper left part, observing the tumult of the Great Wind, Fire & Wind. It seems to be looking towards the center, the glowing eye of the cyclone. The stirring of a whirlwind of wind & fire is symbolized just below moving towards the right side. The grey blue, greenich left part is evoking the wind while the orange brown reddish right part symbolizes the fire. The painting seems really to be observed from the upper left black grey brown towards the centered eye and moving then circularly towards the upper right vivid red form. The centered eye being surrounded by circular movements. The act of painting came first. 10 pages study available (Foundation does not issue certificates of authenticity)
