Chen Shuzhong’s creative experience comes from the vast land of the Northeast countryside where he grew up. The rich scenery, customs, people and stories there provide endless nourishment for the artist. In the vernacular realistic language, the painter also integrated the spirit of traditional Eastern and Western paintings and the visual elements of realism, romanticism and surrealism, forming the artistic characteristics of his style.
