This original etching is hand signed in pencil by the artist "Klee" at the lower right margin. It is dated in pencil ‘1930’ in the lower left margin.
It is also inscribed ‘K 10’ in pencil next to the date. Our impression is one of 30 on Wove paper. There were also 13 impressions on Japan paper. It was printed by Hans Klingler, Leipzig and published by Cahiers d’Art, Paris in 1933. Other impressions of this work can be found in the collections of the Detroit Institute of Art, Kunstpalast Düsseldorf, Museum of Modern Art, New York and Staatsgalerie, Stuttgart.

Provenance: Collection of the French composer Pierre Boulez (1925-2016).
