Today, KCHO is celebrated as the Cuban most internationally established artist since LAM. His Charcoal on paper "A los Ojos de la Historia" is part of the permanent MoMA collection in New York. The Reina Sofia National Museum in Madrid celebrated the artist with a special exhibitition at the Cristal Palace in May 2000 where his masterpiece "No me agradzcan el Silencio", part of the permanent collection sat enthroned.
